SCRI provides the following centralized services to these sites:

  • Program Development – SCRI study recruitment department communicates with sponsor organizations including pharmaceutical companies and CRO’s on behalf of strategic sites. This department assists with all study start-up activities from Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDA) through drug shipment.
  • Contract and Financial – Negotiation and execution of protocol-specific budgets and contracts; invoice sponsor organizations; payment distribution to sites
  • Clinical – Provide planning, implementation and support to site through SCRI Site Manager
  • Regulatory – Process all regulatory documents centrally; SCRI regulatory works with sponsor project manager to satisfy all regulatory requirements for strategic sites.
  • Quality Assurance and Safety – SCRI QA department works with all strategic sites to assist with overall research quality assurance. SCRI provides training assistance to include GCP training and SOP development to strategic sites.

Tennessee Oncology – Nashville, TN

  • Located in middle-Tennessee with 25 practice locations 
  • Clinical research is conducted at 12 locations which are staffed with oncology research nurses.
  • 45 community-based Medical Oncologists 
  • 15,000 new patients each year, representing all tumor types
  • This practice has capabilities and experience in conducting clinical trials in phases I-IV. 
  • On average, 1250 patients are enrolled annually.
  • Sponsor monitoring is conducted out of one central office (250 25th Avenue North, Suite 110, Nashville, TN). Original charts and CRF’s are couriered to the central location for the monitoring. 
  • Site has centralized pharmacy for drug shipment, staffed by a dedicated research pharmacist. Drug is then transported to the other clinic locations once a patient has been identified, screened, and is ready to enroll.

Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders Fort Worth (FTW) – Fort Worth, TX

  • Located in Fort Worth, TX with 11 practice locations that allow for outreach to West Texas populations
  • Clinical research is conducted in 4 locations which are staffed with oncology research nurses.
  • 19 community based Hematologists, Medical Oncologists, Gynecologic Oncologists, and Radiation Oncologists
  • 4700 new patients each year, representing all tumor types
  • This practice has capabilities and experience in conducting phase II, III, and IV clinical trials.
  • On average, 50 patients are enrolled annually.
  • Sponsor monitoring is conducted at a central site. (800 West Magnolia Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76104). Electronic medical records are accessed at the central location for monitoring.
  • Centralized pharmacy for drug shipment.  Drug is then transported to the other clinic locations once a patient has been identified, screened, and is ready to enroll.
  • Certified as one of only 23 oncology practices in the nation meeting the rigorous quality of care standards of the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) Certification Program, a new program offered as an affiliate of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) – Fort Myers, FL

  • Located in Southwest Florida from Tampa to Naples with 22 practice locations 
  • Clinical research is conducted at 22 locations, all of which are staffed with oncology research nurses. 
  • 63 community-based Medical Oncologists
  • 17,500 new patients each year, representing all tumor types
  • This practice has capabilities and experience in conducting clinical trials in phases I-IV.
  • On average, 400 patients are enrolled annually. 
  • Sponsor monitoring is conducted at 3 monitoring locations. Original charts and CRF’s are couriered to the locations for review. 
  • Site has centralized pharmacy for drug shipment. Drug is then transported to the other clinic locations once a patient has been identified, screened, and is ready to enroll.

Oncology Hematology Care, Clinical Trials, LLC (OHC) – Cincinnati, OHC

  • Located in greater Cincinnati with 18 practice locations
  • Clinical research is conducted at 9 locations which are staffed with oncology research nurses.
  • 35 community-based Medical Oncologists
  • 13,000 new patients each year, representing all tumor types
  • This practice has capabilities and experience in conducting phase II, III, and IV clinical trials. 
  • On average, 250 patients are enrolled annually. 
  • Sponsor monitoring is conducted at the site where patient is enrolled. Original charts and CRF’s are available at each location for review.
  • Site has centralized pharmacy for drug shipment. Drug is then transported to the other clinic locations once a patient has been identified, screened, and is ready to enroll.

Chattanooga Oncology and Hematology Associates (COHA) – Chattanooga, TN

  • Located in Chattanooga, TN with 4 practice locations
  • Clinical research is conducted in 4 locations, all of which are staffed with oncology research nurses.
  • 8 community-based Medical Oncologists 
  • 4,000 new patients each year, representing all tumor types
  • This practice has capabilities and experience in conducting phase II, III, and IV clinical trials.
  • On average, 80 patients are enrolled annually. • Sponsor monitoring is conducted out of one central office (605 Glenwood Drive, Suite 200 Chattanooga, TN 37404). All original charts and CRF’s are maintained at the central office. • Site has centralized pharmacy for drug shipment. Drug is dispensed at the central office once a patient has been identified, screened, and is ready to enroll.

South Carolina Oncology Associates, PA (SCOA)- Columbia, South Carolina

  • Located in Columbia, South Carolina with 1 practice location 
  • Clinical research is conducted at this location which is staffed with oncology research nurses.
  • 16 community-based Medical Oncologists
  • 5,600 new patients each year, representing all tumor types 
  • This practice has capabilities and experience in conducting phase II, III, and IV clinical trials. 
  • On average, 30 patients are enrolled annually. 
  • Sponsor monitoring is conducted out of the central office. Original charts and CRF’s are located at the central location for monitoring.
  • Site has centralized pharmacy for drug shipment.

Virginia Cancer Institute (VCI) – Richmond, VA

  • Located in Richmond, VA with 4 practice locations
  • Clinical research is conducted in 4 locations which are staffed with oncology research nurses.
  • 23 community-based Medical Oncologists 
  • 3,000 new patients each year, representing all tumor types
  • This practice has capabilities and experience in conducting phase II, III, and IV clinical trials.
  • On average, 80 patients are enrolled annually. 
  • Sponsor monitoring is conducted at site where patient is enrolled. Original charts and CRF’s are available at each location for review.
