Dee Anna Smith Dee Anna has over a decade of experience in clinical research and is responsible for carrying out the overall strategic mission and vision for the organization. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1986 from Pepperdine University. She joined SCRI in 2005 as chief information officer and also served as president of SCRI Services, leading the development of corporate strategy and vision for that division of SCRI. She was named chief executive officer in 2006. She currently serves as chair for the ASCO 2011 Practice Management and Information Technology Committee. |

Howard A. “Skip” Burris, III, M.D. Dr. Burris has over 20 years of Phase I clinical trial experience. He received his undergraduate degree from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point in 1981 and medical degree from the University of South Alabama in 1985. He then performed his residency and fellowship in hematology/oncology at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. |

John D. Hainsworth, M.D. Dr. Hainsworth is responsible for coordination of the phase II/III clinical trials programs at SCRI, including protocol development, data analysis and manuscript preparation. He received a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University in 1971, followed by a medical degree from Vanderbilt University in 1976. He completed an internal medicine residency and a medical oncology fellowship at Vanderbilt University, and was a member of the Vanderbilt Faculty from 1981–1993. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. |

Ajay Gupta Ajay has over a decade of healthcare experience including strategy, finance and operational experience having worked for a wide variety of firms that provide services to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. He received his bachelor’s of science in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1999 and his MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University in 2004. |

Andy Corts Andy is an accomplished healthcare IT professional with experience in developing and executing IT strategies focused on application management, infrastructure strategies, and governance. In his previous role as director of Collaborative Services at SCRI, he was responsible for the development of SCRI’s electronic health record strategy as well as the clinical trial portal, mySCRI. Prior to joining SCRI, he was a director in HCA’s IT Strategy and Planning group and a senior consultant at Cap Gemini Ernst and Young. Andy received his bachelor’s degree in French and International Business in 1999 from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. |

Margaret C. Mazzone Meg , is an attorney with more than 25 years of experience in the health care industry. She graduated from Brown University in 1975 and from Boston University School of Law in 1980. Before joining SCRI, she was a founder and served as chief administrative officer and general counsel for Healthcare Management Directions. She also served as legal counsel and ethics and compliance officer for Quorum Health Group and as a legal counsel for HCA. |

Rocky Billups Vice President, Research Operations, Sarah Cannon Research UK Rocky has more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice and developing oncology programs. He received his diploma in nursing from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Huntington, W. Va. in 1990 and his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in health services administration from Regis University in Denver in 2002 and 2004. Previously, he served as administrator of the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center and director of Oncology Program Development for HCA, TriStar division. |

Patricia S. Graham Patricia possesses over 17 years of direct oncology clinical research experience in the administrative operations, quality assurance, data management, trial development, project management, clinical patient and site management of pharmaceutical, investigator-initiated and National Cancer Institute cooperative group-sponsored trials. She oversee operations to improve the continuity and patient care pathway across different oncology disciplines with an emphasis on clinical trials as the first treatment option. She received a bachelor’s degree in health services administration from Florida Atlantic University in 1997. She is CCRP certified through the Society of Clinical Research Associates. |

Debbie Haynes Senior Director, Business Innovation Debbie has more than 16 years of drug development experience. One of her primary areas of expertise is regulatory affairs, including non-clinical and clinical development planning and developing regulatory strategy. She received her bachelor’s degree from Manchester University in England in 1993. Before joining SCRI, she was the regional head of Europe, Middle East and Africa for Genentech UK Ltd.’s Office of International Development. |

Samantha Kerr, Ph.D. Senior Director, Sarah Cannon Research UK Dr. Kerr has extensive clinical operations experience in both the pharmaceutical and CRO industries. She embodies global program and study management expertise across a range of therapeutic areas from Phase I-IV as well as in-depth knowledge of EMA/FDA/ICH/GCP regulations and guidelines. Before joining Sarah Cannon Research UK, Dr. Kerr served as a Senior Clinical Director at Allergan Ltd., UK as the European Head of Neurology and Dermatology operations and the Global Head of Clinical Pharmacology operations. She received a bachelor's honours degree in science from the University of Strathclyde in Biochemistry and Immunology in 1994 and a PhD in Biochemical Parasitology in 1997 from the University of Glasgow, Department of Infection and Immunity. |

Carol Greenlees, Ph.D. Carol has 14 years’ experience in clinical operations and program management for biotechnology firms and contract research organizations. She earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Glasgow in 1993 and holds a doctorate in cardiovascular pharmacology from University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. She has worked extensively with several global pharmaceutical companies and was head of European clinical operations for Antisoma Research Limited before joining SCRI. |

Terry Deason Senior Director, Business Development Terry has over 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently as a medical science liaison, alliance manager and scientific director. She graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in 1980 and completed an MBA in 2000 at Regent University. In her current role at SCRI she oversees SCRI’s consortium site relationships and execution of SCRI-sponsored clinical trials. |
